Frequently Asked Questions

The most common cause is a problem with the evaporator coils. Over time they can get covered in ice, which stops them working properly. Other causes include dirty condenser coils, a faulty gasket seal, poor ventilation, or a malfunctioning internal part. Our technicians will diagnose the exact issue on the first visit.
Excess frost is usually caused by a worn or damaged door gasket. When the seal is not tight, warm air gets in and cold air escapes, which leads to frost build-up. The gasket needs to be inspected and replaced to fix the problem properly.
A blocked defrost drain is the most likely cause of water pooling under or inside your fridge. A worn door gasket or a leaking water supply line can also be responsible. We carry the most common replacement parts on our service vehicles so this is usually fixed on the same visit.
If your fridge has stopped working entirely, the thermostat is the first thing to check. It may need replacing. Call us and our technician will run a full diagnostic to identify the fault and get it sorted quickly.
This is usually an evaporator coil issue. The coils may be iced over or the evaporator fan motor may have failed. Both stop cold air from circulating properly inside the fridge. Contact us and we will send a technician out to check it.
If the temperature inside your fridge keeps changing or it is not cooling at all, the thermostat is a likely suspect. A faulty thermostat fails to communicate with the heat sensors properly. We can test and replace it on the same visit.
In many cases yes. The relay switch that controls the compressor is a common failure point and is an affordable fix. If the compressor itself has failed, it will need to be replaced. Our technician will assess the situation and give you a clear quote before any work starts.
This is almost always a defrost system issue. The evaporator fan motor may have failed, which means cold air is not being pushed through to the fridge section. It is a job our technicians deal with regularly and can usually fix on the first visit.
Overheating compressors are usually caused by high compression ratios, high return gas temperatures, or a lack of external cooling around the unit. Dirty condenser coils can also contribute. If your compressor is running hot or making unusual noise, call us before the problem gets worse.
A kinked water supply line is the most common reason for low dispenser pressure. If the line is bent or pinched, water cannot flow through it properly. We will inspect the line and the inlet valve and fix whichever is causing the issue.
